BVS Website

This is a web site I did for my interactive class. The Project was to redesign a site to better fit the company. Our brand was BVS performance systems; they sell CRM training and software. I was so inspired by Meghan's navigations design from the Wendy's, that I felt it fit this brand perfectly. I used colors that I thought represented a power suit those top executives wear. I wanted BVS to look powerful, sophisticated, and smart. The home page has several flash elements. The main scroll bar, the photos and the ticker. The ticker scrolls words that represents the company. The subpage was just an example of how the rest of the site could look. Similar elements from the homepage are on this subpage, such as the ticker and the navigation scroll bar. Feel free to go to bvs.com to see the changes that were made.

Online Art projects

Check out these two online art project I did for my Internet Art Class.

http://jackie.blueprint83.com/jackieProject/

The first art site was an adventure story. The assignment was to illustrate a story and each page had to have two options to navigate to. I choose a poem by Edger Allen, "A Dream Within A Dream". Each page is my vision of a dream based on Edgar's words. I created this in photoshop and dreamwaver.

The second art site was our final project. We had to create a one minute flash animation and incorporate it into 3 or more webpages. I decided to make the site about a human's subconscious; what goes on deep in our brains. The part of our minds that we might not even know exists. I chopped up the animation into three parts to show different parts of the human mind, from sensible thinking to non-sensible. I used flash, photoshop and dreamweaver to create this.

Ciba Brand Reel

This is a brand reel that I created for Ciba Vision contacts. The project was to re-position this brand so it appeals to young women 16-25. The assignment was to create a "way-in" to connect to this target. The main draw for these contacts is they are non-prescription and come in many colors and designs. They are mostly used for cosmetic use. So I thought what better way to relate to a girl in this age range, than relating to the idea of playing dress up. I combined images, words and a catchy song to express how I want the users to feel when the visit the Ciba microsite for Play Dress up.

wendylovesgreen.com (microsite comp for Wendy's)

This was a project I worked on for an advertising art class. The class was split up into groups of two people and given a specific brand. Some of the brand's included Wendy's, Phillies, Toys R Us and more. My partner Meghan Tartaglia and I, We were given Wendy's.The idea was to create a microsite that specifically targeted women 18-35 and advertised Wendy's as a "fresh" indulgence, with little guilt. Wendy's uses fresher food than other fast food restaurants. We decided to going with the popular trend of "going green". We wanted to create a serene haven for women to visit and add a little green in their life. The website was intended to inspire women and show them how to have indulgences in their life with little guilt. The two images above were the foundation to the site. We took the current Wendy's logo and added green to go with the them. The mood board above has the colors, types of images and overall feel we wanted for the website. Below the mood board are 3 pages of the actual site that Meghan created. Together we built an inspiring site for our target filled with unique tactics that fit their lifestyle.

Anthem Magazine

Here are three Anthem Magazine covers I designed for my Art Direction class. I was given article titles and words into one large sentence; it was then up to me what I did with each article. Each cover features a different article. For the first I wanted to play with typography. I chose to use just type as my image. Also I wanted to play with white space. For the second cover I wanted to keep it black, white and gray with just a splash of color. I used broken white space to emphasize the article about break dancing. For the third I used an image from the artisit Elizabeth Heuy and played off the colors in the painting. For each cover I tried to create visual interest by playing with color, typography and placement.

Mauckingbird Theatre Company logos

These are some logos I designed for the Mauckingbird Theatre Company. It was a class project however this is a real client. The class is still waiting to hear which logo will be selected. For this project, I utilized the contrast of black and white (the Gestalt theory). I played with typefaces and the placement of black and white space.

The Birth of Aphrodite

This is a piece I created for my digital art class. The theme of the project was to use a mythological character or story to show my skills in Illustrator. I chose to do my own version of the Birth of Aphrodite. It has similar elements from the original painting but I used my own style. First I wanted this to look more like an illustration than a painting. I used a combination of Illustrator tools to create this piece.
